Winter brings a unique set of challenges for our skin, like cold dry air and lack of humidity that can irritate and dry our skin. We also spend more time inside in winter using indoor heating which can further add to the irritation. Sweet potatoes are a rich source of the antioxidant carotene which the body uses to convert to vitamin A, an important skin vitamin that speeds up skin renewal and decreases dryness and flaking.

Dark leafy green vegetables like spinach provide many of the nutrients needed for healthy skin cells, like vitamin A and vitamin C.
