SOLIDTEKNICS
has developed two ranges of innovative world-first cookware:

AUS-ION™ wrought iron (formed low-carbon steel), and nöni™ ferritic wrought stainless cookware. All are made in Australia, all are non-toxic, healthy, sustainable, and multi-century durable.

AUS-ION™ and nöni™ are both world-first seamless 1-piece wrought pans, with patents pending.

Ideally, every cook interested in healthy, non-toxic, and sustainable cooking would have a mixture of iron and stainless pans in the kitchen, because each has its strengths for different types of cooking:

Perfect for all everyday oil/fat based frying, grilling, etc, our natural clean AUS-ION™ Australian wrought iron cooks and seasons like all bare cast iron cookware, but is half the weight of cast iron. Seasoned iron is the only known non-toxic and forever-renewable nonstick. All other nonsticks are made with toxic and/or disposable synthetic coatings.

With proper ‘seasoning’  AUS-ION™  provide cooks with a smooth synthetic-free nonstick cooking surface which is also safe at high temperatures. The pans are made 100% in Australia from clean Australian iron, and each one is stamped with the exact casting date to boost collectibility.

Our new conductive solid ferritic nöni™ stainless steel range is perfect for all liquid boiling, slow cooking, acidic sauces, and is very low maintenance.....and indestructible. Both ranges are designed to work together as a complete set of complementary pans, on any heat source.

SOLIDTEKNICS found that making the expensive moulds in Australia was a major ‘barrier to entry’, so instead of running offshore they turned to crowdfunding to support their vision. This worked very successfully to fund the launch of their very first Sauteuse pan in 2015, and now (in 2018) SOLIDTEKNICS are about to launch their 14th campaign. We promise all our Kickstarter campaign backers we only ever make First Edition pans for them alone, and never again after the Kickstarter launch campaign closes. If you don't back their Kickstarter, there is no other way to purchase a First Edition pan.

The Australian pan’s designer and SOLIDTEKNICS founder, Mark Henry (the same mechanical engineer who founded the Füri knife company, which he sold in 2008), said: “We’re really grateful to see so much support on Kickstarter. I believe this is because we have some big performance benefits over traditional imported cast iron pans, not just because they’re made in Australia. And it is very heartening to see that top chefs agree. They’re starting to call them ‘world’s best’, without prompting…..or payment! Because our solid one-piece cast iron pans will last for hundreds, maybe thousands, of years we hope they will be handed down for many generations as prized and well-loved family heirlooms. That’s our driving vision.”With all the bad news lately about Australian manufacturing it is heartening to see there’s still support for making world-class products locally. And that has to be some good news worth sharing.
