We interviewed Good Day Organics to find out more about their organic skincare products.

Where is Good Day Organics based, and how long has the business been going?
Good Day Organics Ltd was established in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne in North East England in early 2014, what originally started as a one man band quickly become a growing family business and due to Australian demand has led us to open an office in Nimbin, New South Wales.

Where did the idea for the Mount Purious Raw skincare and Good Day Organics skincare ranges come from and how did you get it started?
The Mount Purious Organic Skincare range was originally developed for sensitive skin as a single ingredient alternative to chemical based commercial skincare and 'natural' brands which contain parabens, fragrances and mineral oils. Through years of research we knew which ones were suited to sensitive skin, and conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, sun spots, wrinkles and nappy rash, we wanted to provide the perfect match for anyone looking to moisturise their skin and help improve their skin's health.

The Good Day Organics Men's Range was developed using a selection of cold pressed oils as a complementary men's range to the unisex Mount Purious Range and was developed on request from existing customers who wanted something specifically suited to male sensitive skin. The ingredients are chosen to moisturise the skin whilst providing an important function such as shaving or encouraging healthy beard growth.

Why is it important to you that the ingredients in your skincare products are certified organic?
Firstly, supporting organic farmers who farm the best quality certified organic ingredients helps to protect the soil and provides a better crop for the environment and ourselves. However it was also very important that we used certified organic ingredients because they symbolise the highest quality and purest content. Our ingredients are all cold pressed, 100% and unfiltered and to reassure our customers we insist on the highest quality ingredients we insist on being certified. We are also registered with Cruelty Free International and the Vegan Society to reassure our customers of our credentials and company ethos.

Most people are familiar with the reasons for eating organic food, but why is organic skincare important?
Over 60% of what we put on our skin works into our bloodstream so it's important we use skincare products which are not only pure but non-harmful to our bodies. Cold pressed certified organic skincare provides nutrient and vitamin enriched moisturisation and protection. Certified Organic skincare such as the Mount Purious & Men's Range contain ingredients which complement the skin.

What is unique about your skincare ranges?
The Mount Purious Organic Skincare and Good Day Organics Men's Range feature only 100% pure and certified organic ingredients, we do not use a single preservative or non-organic ingredient so we are certain our ranges are suited for all skin types including sensitive, dry skin, and are suitable for conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, sun spots, wrinkles and are suitable for the whole family. When our customers try any product in the Mount Purious or Good Day Organics range they know they are getting the same high quality ingredients and the very best products at affordable prices.

Which of your products are your “best-sellers” and what do you attribute this to?
Our Mount Purious Organic Skincare Rosehip Oil is by far our biggest selling product because we source the highest quality Rosehip Oil on the market and as a result it provides excellent skin moisturisation. It helps the skin retain moisture and increase skin elasticity. This not only has a positive effect on the physically signs of ageing but helps dry skin, wrinkles, sun spots, facial eczema and rosacea.

The Beard Oil is currently our most popular product in the Mens' Range because it provides both moisturisation to the hair and skin to ensure the beard grows strong the skin remains irritant free, because it is scent free it is suitable for use at night.  Our shaving oil is also growing in popularity because it prevents skin irritation and helps provide a smooth shave and we have a strong base of repeat satisfied customers.

Where are your products available?
We work with select retailers in the UK including Wholefoods Markets and a number of smaller retailers doted throughout the UK and Ireland. In Australia the Mount Purious Organic Skincare range is available exclusively at www.gooddayorganics.com.au and in select stores in the coming months.

The Good Day Organics Men's Range will be available in Australia in the coming months.

Do you have any new products in the pipeline that we can look forward to?
We are currently working on expanding both the Mount Purious Organic Skincare range and the Good Day Organics Men's Range and are working on ranges suited to sensitive skin including a children's range. We're not sure what will come first, but we guarantee it'll be cold pressed, certified organic, raw and suitable for all skin types.
